Here is a little something from my sister who is in the hair business. So I will let her write this article. My opening comments are,

This service may sometimes cost more than a salon visit, but clients feel that the comfort offsets the cost factor. One other reason why clients are comfortable is that portable hairdressing equipment is now as good as the fixed equipment.

Hence the customer can get a great service with complete attention of the hairdresser in the comfort of their home without sacrificing on the salon experience. If you are an independent hairdresser and are not affiliated to any salon, then owning portable hairdressing equipment makes sense. You are not bothered with basic costs, or the rents and rates you would pay if you had a salon. The icing is you can even charge more than a salon visit.
