Home Visits by Beauticians

By , February 3, 2009

Here is a little something from my sister who is in the hair business. So I will let her write this article. My opening comments are,

“Don’t most people get their hair cut at a salon, and this seems like its for rich people. Well maybe not. Go ahead Andrea!”

Salons and beauticians provide services to customers in the comfort of the clients home. This service may sometimes cost more than a salon visit, but clients feel that the comfort offsets the cost factor. One other reason why clients are comfortable is that portable hairdressing equipment is now as good as the fixed equipment.

Hence the customer can get a great service with complete attention of the hairdresser in the comfort of their home without sacrificing on the salon experience. If you are an independent hairdresser and are not affiliated to any salon, then owning portable hairdressing equipment makes sense. You are not bothered with basic costs, or the rents and rates you would pay if you had a salon. The icing is you can even charge more than a salon visit.

Make People Take You Seriously

By , December 26, 2008

I have to tell you that, to my deepest sorrow, clothes seem to matter very much when it comes to how others relate to you. A casual style person, with cheap shoes and handbags, will never be taken seriously by the business community, regardless her entrepreneurial or management skills.

Conversely, somebody who’s always very well dressed, looking like those fancy dummies in shops’ windows, may be able to succeed in having a great career, even though he might not have such a brilliant mind. This is a ruthless observation, but I found it to be true so may times, that I’m seriously considering to add new items to my wardrobe. Who knows, success may be just over the corner, waiting for me to grab the opportunity.

Eliminate That Annoying Bad Breath

By , December 12, 2008

If you suffer from Halitosis (bad breath) then I have a few suggestions to help you resolve your problem.  The first and most important thing you need to do to eliminate your bad breath is brush properly everyday. This can be done by making sure that you brush for at least 2 minutes while getting all areas of your mouth.

You want to make sure that your brushing includes your tongue.  Getting a Sonicare brush can help you to brush better and keep bad breath away.

The second thing you need to do is make sure that you floss daily.  You would be surprised as how much small bits of food get stuck in your teeth and how much it influences your breath.

Finally, you need to be sure and use mouthwash twice a day.  Mouthwash helps to kill any bacteria that wasn’t removed by brushing and in return delays the onset of bad breath.

Beauty Can Be Bought

By , November 29, 2008

We hear so many times that there are things which cannot e bought, such as love and friendship. However, others are accessible for various amounts of money. Beauty belongs in this category, because you can buy yourself a nice body and a good looking face with the right amount of money and the right treatments.

For example, there are so many laser hair treatment centers in NY that choice can be really difficult to make. In such situation, the word-of-mouth plays an important role. I’d rather go to such a center when I see my best friend looking great after some face lifting surgery or whatever other type of treatment she had, than just from ads in newspapers. I want to look my best, and this is why I spend so much money on permanent hair removals, liposuction and other similar treatments and procedures. Being beautiful can raise your morale a lot. At least for me, it does.

Taking The Kids To Big Bear Lodge

By , November 24, 2008

I have such fond memories of going to Big Bear Lodge as a child.  Each summer, we would spend a few weeks in big bear and we always had the best time.  I thought this place was awesome as a kid and I still think it is now.  A lot of parents like bringing their kids over here.

My parents never came to the big bear lodge without us.  Now I get to take my kids with me whenever I can so that they can enjoy the same experiences that I did and have wonderful memories from when they were kids.
